Airpot

The side walls of the airpot show holes at the tips of the cones directed to the outside, through which the air can penetrate into the root balls.

The inside of the side wall, which is straightened inwards, force the root in the direction of the outer cones with the air hole. There, the water content and the oxygen content in the substrate rises, so that the cells in the root tip dry out, and to a certain extent, are cropped by air. 

The compensation reaction of the plant on these root cuts caused by air is increased root growth. The root tip branches, so that within a very short time there is a dense and fine -fiber braid. This favors a firm, radial root ball. This effect means that the plant can absorb more nutrients. 

Another advantage is that, due to the higher air part, fewer pests settle or feel good in the root area. The formation of mold is also prevented. 

The porosity of the Airpot also creates better conditions for bacterial activity and thus also increases the availability of nutrient salts for the plant.
