During the flowering period, the need for phosphorus and potassium increases. The flower leads to the increase, a large amount of genetic material (DNA) is built up and is accompanied by an increasing energy requirement. Both the energy molecules and the DNA strands contain a large amount of phosphate. Potassium is crucial for the transport of water and particles into the roots and the leaves. It also regulates the absorption of carbon dioxide and affects photosynthesis performance.

PK 13/14 is a practical tool to gradually increase the PK content and overto avoid moderate PK quantities in the early flowering phase, which is particularly important in hydrocultures.
