How it works:
Potassium hydrogen carbonate belongs to the chemical group of mineral chemical pesticides. It is preventative with a variety of sites of action (multisite). Potassium hydrogen carbonate is toxic to fungal cells. It works by changing the pH and osmotic pressure as well as the interaction through carbonate and bicarbonate. The effect is preventative but also slightly curative. Preventive treatment before symptoms of the disease develop or when they first become visible ensures better protection of the cultures. The product has a short curative effect of max. 1-2 days. To date, no resistance is known to potassium hydrogen carbonate. The active ingredient is particularly suitable if resistance is to be prevented.
